I grew up in LPS schools - I attended Centennial Elementary, Goddard (Junior High back then) and Littleton High School. After attending college at Arizona State University and Temple University for degrees in clarinet performance, I became certified to teach music. I have taught music at Whitman (and other LPS elementaries) since 1995. I play clarinet with the Arapahoe Philharmonic and the Jefferson Symphony, as well as a clarinet ensemble named Alborado. I just recently finished a master’s degree in literacy from the University of Colorado – Denver and look forward to using my knowledge to help students grow musically and in literacy. In my free time, I like to explore the outdoors with my friends and husband, especially snowboarding, hiking 14ers, mountain biking, and rock climbing.
